ii MARINE - BRISBANE COMPASS ADJUSTER & MARINE SURVEYOR
.
We were established in Brisbane, Australia in 2001. Principal activities have included small craft refits, marine and cargo surveying, compass adjusting and specialist marine services in Australia, the South Pacific and SE Asia.
Starting life as INNOVATIVE INDUSTRIES in SW England in 1991, we carried out marine salvage operations, research and development projects in the defence sector, boat transport and vessel manning around the UK coast and Europe.
Our core activity was providing shipwright services, including refit and conversion projects, survey and insurance compliance work and traditional wooden boat renovation and repair. We have always been enthusiastic proponents of ''sustainable boat building'' methods.

After relocation from the UK in 2001, we worked from facilities in Brisbane and Hong Kong, providing marine surveying, consulting and other specialist marine services. Jobs we have undertaken include:
- refit projects on steel, aluminium, fibreglass and wooden vessels
- surveys of commercial and recreational vessels, specialising in wooden boats
- compliance and safety audits
- small craft/superyacht load, stow and discharge surveys
- surveys of cargo (including damage assessments), lashings and containers
- magnetic compass installations, inspections, repairs and adjustments
- non-destructive testing (NDT) and forensic investigation on steel, aluminium, fibreglass and timber vessels for corrosion, osmosis, water ingress, etc.
From early 2012, our services have been mainly Hong Kong based, operated by AMEE & CO.
